thanks joomla , I have had this before but this is a good spot for it.
just go to addthis.com , sign up get your own button code and replace the red code with your own you get from addthis.com
also you dont need to use their image you can use your own I made mine to suit my colors and style

I didn't know you could track stats with addthis
I've used sharethis (http://sharethis.com/) to do the same but I didn't like the load time. I'll try it with the addthis code to see how bad it is thx
