AME3 - Auto Media Embeding and Video Extender

From the makers of Smooth and Jazz comes the singing sensation my mom has been waiting months for:
AME3. Bigger. Badder. Bestest. NOTE ABOUT vB4.0.3: ------------------------------------------------------------ vBulletin 4.0.3 has changed the way video codes are handled and in the process, inadvertently broke AME3. I have submitted a bug report and believe that the issue will be quickly resolved. There is a manual fix you can apply for 4.0.3 here in the interim. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AME3 is the sequel to the multi award winning AME 1x and AME 2x systems. AME3. This time, its different. AME3 does 3 things:
Note that I am releasing this early for beta testing and general feedback. There is currently a bug in RC2, RC4 and 4.0.0 that will prevent AME from working however there is a workaround posted below. I have written a pretty comprehensive readme and attached it seperatly to this post. I suspect both this post and the readme will get updated as AME3 becomes finalised. I just upgraded to latest 4.0.6 from 3.8.x
And I installed the AME product. Now my old threads where AME was used is showing: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E19D_-h9MIo[/ame] anyway to convert those old ame tags so it shows the YouTube video. No members have liked this post.

OK I converted the old tags from tools, but when I paste youtube link it doesnt make it embed?
what am I doing wrong. I imported the product xml and everything. Weird! No members have liked this post.

I did just few sec ago, now the new youtube links that I paste do work.
But thing is I have so many posts with the old [ame] tag that were used in vb3, now im on vb4. I did rebuild my posts from tools using this option:

Is anyone else having trouble with this plugin and Firefox?
For some reason I can no longer see the videos using Firefox, but it's fine with Safari.

can we use some definations xml for this hack? Like I would like to use for flickr. possible? cuz i know the def xml is out for 3.8 but is it out for vb4? No members have liked this post.

I doubt there will ever be definitions for this version as it never did anything but wrap [video] tags. What's needed is a different mod that would actually allow users to define new definitions and add them to vb4. That may not be possible because the necessary hooks are missing.

I tried the fix to the functions_video.php file (I think thats what it was) and I have it working in 4.0.7, the only thing is after I submit a new post the screen goes blank with some weird symbols in the upper left corner. The post actually posts fine and everything, but it just looks bad when someone posts because they get the blank white page. Anyone know a fix for this?
