This hack will show how many new posts/threads have been posted in forums since your 'last visit'. New posts are checked via AJAX, manually or in defined time interval. Optionally you can enable and configure Smart Search Menu to give users ability to search individual forum sections. View screenshots... can you allow post preview on new threads/posts... like on ere..
alow the users to view the post content... the vb4 got a stupid feature that only allow you to read the thread title and nothing more... No members have liked this post.

Great hack! Would you consider as a possible future option that, instead of refreshing the count on click, it would jump to the Newposts page?

Nice mod if it worked....
the mod smart menu does not retreive posts from individual forums, it shows you all new posts which vbulletin have already No members have liked this post.
