UF - Forum Updates on Homepage! (Updates come from posts in a specified thread)
![]() Developer Last Online: Sep 2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() This modification is in the archives.
Forum Home Updates pulled from a specific thread.
That should explain it, if not there's screen shots. This mod will allow you have a table of updates on the forum home. These updates come from a thread you have created, all you have to do is put the ID of thread in options. Each update will show the title, date, username and the update itself. You could of course use this for things other than updates, but this is what it was designed for. Installation.

Not really push it, just sits above it.
You can put the table wherever you want though, move $homeupdates to where you want to appear. ![]() No members have liked this post.

Yeah, but you'd have to change to the location of the forumhome_complete hook to global.
I put it in forumhome_complete for efficiency ![]() No members have liked this post.

I'm glad someone likes it!
I thought it would be more popular than this. Another note: You can change the templates it adds to customise the look of table.. or you could turn it into a div or something ![]() No members have liked this post.

One question though, can't it be the first post of the thread instead of the whole thread? It is a very long thread full of updates and it drags and drags until you actually reach the forums properly. Disabled for now, thanks again.

Why would you only want the first post? If anything wouldn't you want the last posts in that thread as they'd be newer updates? No members have liked this post.
