A brief site load review
I currently experience some mixed reviews of my vBulletin's loading speeds and I need from you guys a more concise opinion. Some of my users reported huge site loading lags 5-10 seconds while others said the site loads almost instantly. For me, the site is lightning fast but I need to have more opinions so I know what to tweak/modify.
if it's possible, spend a couple of minutes browsing random links...forum...cms etc..and tell me what do you think, I'll greatly appreciate it. Site URL: http://www.oldrepublic.net No members have liked this post.

it will load slow for some as it depends how fast there isp is and how far away they are from the hosting server

I know, but those who say it load slow, also say that the rest of the sites load fast..that's my problem.

Loaded using latest iPhone > 0.02 seconds load, clicked 'Forum' then clicked a random thread, both around 0.5 seconds. So yeah pretty slow

Front page loaded a bit slow, but the forum and threads loaded fast.

Have you ever looked it it in debug mode and analyzed the queries and such? Although, I guess that wouldn't help you since you say it is others having the problem and not you.

ya I don't have problems, I mean, I have some..but after a while and it's a local issue..although it bahaves strange..anyway, not the thread to discuss this now. The point is that some users are reporting lags from the get-go, while others, including myself...say that the site loads pretty fast...that's why I was asking the help of vb.org, since I don't have some many users on the forum to ask to test this

Have you asked those users to try a trace? Perhaps something will show up there.

Here's the report where I tested your main page, you score 84 out of a possible 100:
http://www.webpagetest.org/result/111104_QS_231FX/ Here's the same exact test on your forum, 78 out of 100 grade here: http://www.webpagetest.org/result/111104_16_231GH/ Score slightly lower but page load is faster, no idea why. Feel free to run additional tests, with this site you can choose just about any browser and many locations to test from. The CDN not detected, that's because you aren't using a cloud proxy like CloudFlare. Getting this installed on your site will speed you up even more, improve your grades and will protect you from a variety of bad actors including DDoS attacks, script kiddies and hackers, crackers, and the ilk.
