I did a long time ago do this but for the life of me I cannot quite remember how.

What I am after is just it to show the thumbnails by default when you visit the attachments page ( profile.php?do=editattachments ) ,

I thought I could just change the link to have them showing ( &showthumbs) but I think there's a bit more to it to do it "neatly".

In other words reverse the switch so that they always show by default and then you click the link underneath to turn them off.
