Setting up VPS server
Hi,
I'm trying to set up a VPS server that I have signed up for so I can migrate my forum over. Is there any guides on how to do this anywhere? Or am I in well over my head with this? No members have liked this post.

A VPS server with nothing installed on it? If you don't have any experience with Linux then you're going to have a hard time configuring everything.
For CentOS 7: https://www.unixmen.com/install-lemp...-php-centos-7/

If you want a secure environment that's properly setup then yes, I would leave it up to someone with more experience.

Not necessarily professionals, but you do need to at least know what you are doing to install apache, mysql, and maybe other things like xcache or opcache, setting up iptables etc.

I would suggest getting a vps with everything set up already or even a managed vps.
Not only will everything have to be installed and set up and tweaked it will also all have to be maintained and updated.
