Looking for Ideas on how others handle users reading site announcements
Something that I have struggled with on my site is getting people to read Announcement posts. Since my forum has different sports/areas of interest. people are bookmarking that area of interest and bypass the Forum Home page.
Outside of the Forced Read modification, are there other ways to ensure this information is being seen by members? No members have liked this post.

I always used "Force users to read a thread" and that was working perfectly

I'm using the "Force read Thread" product along with an addon for it I coded myself, and it still works for me on vB 4.2.5.
