What is this!?
This modification will allow you show a page containing all of your banned users. I suppose you could think of this as a public "Wall of Shame", per say.

Check the screenshots to see exactly what is displayed.

Current Version
1.1.6

Features flagged for future version(s):
  • Looking for suggestions

Will this work on x.x.x ??
Unless otherwise stated, this will work on all 4.0 versions. If you would like to use the vB 3.x version, you can find it here.

Sounds cool. How do I install?
  1. Upload everything inside the "upload" directory of the zip file to your forums.
    • banned.php => To your FORUM ROOT directory
    • functions_bannedusers_list.php => To your FORUM_ROOT/includes directory
  2. Login to your Admin Control Panel and go to "Plugins & Products" -> "Manage products"
    • Click on "Add/Import product"
    • Browse for "product-bannedusers.xml" (included in the zip file), and click "Import"
    • If upgrading from an older version, then set "Allow Overwrite" to "Yes".
  3. In your admin control panel go to vBulletin Options => Banned Users List
    • Edit the Usergroups that you do not want to show the banned members list to.
  4. Optional: Only if the auto template injection does not work, as the template hooks were not found.
    • In the "navbar" template, find:

      • Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
        Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

    • Below it, add:

      • Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
        Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Upgrade
  1. Login to your Admin Control Panel
  2. Go to "Plugins & Products" -> "Manage products"
  3. Click on "Add/Import product"
  4. Browse for "product-bannedusers.xml" (included in the zip file)
  5. Set "Allow Overwrite" to "Yes", and click "Import"
  6. Upload and overwrite 'banned.php' and '/includes/functions_bannedusers_list.php'

It has been a while, my apologies Robbed. I will look into that issue, but no guarantees. I am admittedly not the best with CSS.

Small bag:
Is not registered variable $lb_сolor in $templater = vB_Template::create('bannedusers');

Solution:

Open file: banned.php
Find:
$templater->register('alt2', $alt2);
And after that add:
$templater->register('lb_color', $lb_color);

A username search feature would be great for this or showing the "ban reason" in the profile. Out ban list has over 100 pages and it's takes too long to find the user on the list using only alphabetical search.

Well I sent Eric a pm before I saw his notice in red to not contact him about his mods and I sent him the following:

Hey buddy, I was wondering what is the purpose of the characters (s x x ) found in the bannedusers template:

It is located right after the <body> tag and before the following....

I did not want to post this on the forums with all the hacking going around to avoid anyone thinking I am accusing you of something malicious.

I removed it from the template as it was showing (s x x ) at the top left corner of the body wrapper which is why I noticed it on my site...

Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon about this..

<body>
s x x
{vb:raw header}
{vb:raw navbar}
Can you guys please check to see if you guys have that in your bannedusers template and if you do I would recommend you guys remove it, I don't see the purpose of it when it shows outside of the wrapper....

I'll be updating the mod shortly to remove the text. It is nothing malicious, but honestly I am not sure why it is there. It serves no purpose, and it is just plain text. Probably added by accident and I just never noticed it

Thanks a lot Eric, never meant to say it was anything malicious my Man so I hope I did not offend you , but with all the hacking going around the last couple of months I would rather let you know to give us piece of mind, know what I mean?

Any ideas how to resolve this?
The following dependencies were not met:

This product is not compatible with version 4.0.2 of vBulletin. (Compatible starting with 4.0.5)

You can try editing the dependencies in the xml-file and set them to 4.3 . But be aware, that this mod is intended to run on vb up to version 4.1.0 . So your result may vary.
