I am releasing this BB Code for you to use on your forums.

Some things to take note to customize it to your liking.
  • change all 'width="320" height="240"' settings to your desire.
  • change all autoplay or autostart to true if you want it to autoplay.
  • change all 'param name='loop'' to true if you want it to loop.
  • change all align="center" to align="right/left" in this bit of code to align it however you want '<table border='0' cellpadding='0' align="center">'
Alright, now to the BB Code.


1. Windows Media Files EMBED:

Title: Windows Media Files EMBED

Tag: wmv

Replacement:


Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Example: [wmv]http://38.101.8.68/dl/48b60228d3d5e2bbc8698b2476e5d243/45be9890/video/skinheads_vs_skaters.wmv[/wmv]

Description: Embed Windows Media Files

Use {option}: NO


2. QuickTime Media Files EMBED:

Title:QuickTime Media Files EMBED

Tag: qtv

Replacement:


Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Example: [qtv]http://pulsar.esm.psu.edu/Faculty/Gray/graphics/movies/1984.mov[/qtv]

Description: Embed QuickTime Media Files

Use {option}: NO


3. Real Media Files EMBED:

Title: Real Media Files EMBED

Tag: rmv

Replacement:


Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Example: [rmv]http://www.homelandabsurdity.com/audio-video/beefheart_tribute.rm[/rmv]

Description: Embed Real Media Files

Use {option}: NO


4. Flash Media Files EMBED:

Title: Flash Media Files EMBED

Tag: fmv

Replacement:
Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Description: Embed Flash Media Files

Actually there wasn't any old code. But I did replace the code.

I just re-edited it, and tested. Works now. I wasnt able to test myself before because my MPlayer plug-ins were acting funny, and there was something wrong. Now it works on my forum after reinstalling the code, and updating my MPlayer browser plug ins.

The only one I am aware of is Flash security vulnerabilities. If you wish to install that particular BB Code that is up to you.

hmmm... It works for me, try deleting the BB Code and trying again.

No with this code I do not think attachments will work.
The only way to do that would be to allow them to upload files to your server, and then put the link with teh proper extension in between the BB codes.

Does this work with FireFox? It works fine for me in Internet Explorer, but it won't show up in FireFox. I'm using the WMV code, BTW.

WMV Works for me in Firefox.... but I can't get it not to autostart in Firefox. Has anyone else experienced this?



Works fine in IE.
