Known issues:

For those who like to see my discussion with vBSEO staff just look under the link

In few words - they have only personal issue about Google translation quality and no business reason and in my opinion they are acting against good business of their clients.

There is one think which is real argue. They clearly point vBET 3.x as much better to use because vBET 2.x does not support URL translation, but thanks that we have vBET 3.x so anybody who really wants have everything perfect (+ others great features) can go for vBET 3.x

Yes - simply edit your templates and add:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

(not tested - just put from hand)

But really I see no sense of avoiding of showing adsense for translated pages.

And the second one - also for detail go there.

In few words - the man tolds weeeery stupid things. I don't know how someone who claims himself of being SEO expert doesn't understand that having content in different languages gives you more traffic.

As I wrote - details are there and here only one think to remind what is the TRUTH - I really cannot tell why vBSEO team is lying their own clients - if they are not lying it means that they have no idea about SEO and translations and in such case they shouldn't make official statements about "how it is" cause this is also a lie. But lucky me I have such great users as you who can show the true :
http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showp...&postcount=623

Also please note, that I show those results to some vBSEO stuff before. Make your own opinion about that...

Google TOS states:

You will not, and will not permit your end users or other third parties to:

submit any request exceeding 5000 characters in length;
http://code.google.com/intl/da/apis/...age/terms.html

Seems many threads are more than 5000 characters in length - often 3 times as much ...

Looks like I have been blocked by Google and am trying to find out why. I have the Google logo in the bottom of the screen and have made sure cache is updated until now.

I don't think Google blocked you because of the length of a post. The software breaks the queries up into smaller chucks.

Just post the link to your website and we will attempt to tell you why you Google has blocked you.

Google's basic policy is "Do No Harm"....maybe your website has other problems?

I agree completely. I read that post and was really shocked by the complete falsehood (lie) posted by marco at vbSEO. His post was an utter and complete lie. In most civil courts in the world, he would be liable to you and your business for such a statement. He better be careful, because you have so many customers who can speak for you otherwise.

I know for a fact that translations are important for the world. Machine translations, while not perfect, bring people closer together. Translations help people all over the world find information they might not normally find. Translations are an absolute blessing. They are the future of the Internet.

Always remember... the purpose of machine language translations is not SEO. This is wrong. The purpose of machine translation is to make your unique content available to the world. You are not optimizing search engines, you are making more content available for global users.

If you use a machine language package with only SEO in mind, you are making a big mistake, IMHO. Translation is about making information available, not SEO. If you get more traffic because information is available in many languages (and you will !!), that is because you have unique content available for many users and languages globally.

Be Responsible and Be a Good Internet Citizen. Do No Harm.

Thanks. Sorry, I can't read it since I can't read DK (Irony). Maybe you could enable EN translation so we can read the content? Or, I guess not, since it Google is not translation for you now?

Anyway, I did notice Google Adsense was serving PSA ads on your site. That is not good.

You mean PSA on the mothersite? - yes, but thats only sporadically for new content. Most threads have real ads.

If you want an EN translation you can use this link: xxx

Your site content seems fine.

Are you serving pop-ups or pop-under ads or similar intrusive ads?

Also, I recommend caution regarding this:

Translations delivered by vB Enterprise Translator
.....

Automatic Translations (Powered by Google ):
This is confusing to me. I am not sure Google would like this type of situation with their credit at the bottom and under a similar credit. It makes Google look so "small and not important" compared to a small provider.

Anyway, that is just my opinion.....

You need to ask Google directly and not guess. If you are serving pop ups or pop under ads, that will be a problem for Google, I think.

(Edit) PS: FWIW, better would be:

Automatic Translations Powered by Google

....

Forum Translation Software by vB Enterprise Translator
Also you need "Powered by Google" for translations near the content for every translated page. I recommend you put it at the top of each thread, not hidden at the bottom.

I will move up the Google credentials to be on the safe side.

No popups - only adsense.

How do I get in contact with Google? I already posted at the Danish webmaster Google Help forum. I hope not they will ask me to post here: http://groups.google.com/group/google-translate because it seems Google representats arent answering peoples requests.

If you was blocked by Google it is not because of long messages. vBET has set $maxUrlLength = 1900; and it cuts long messages (smart algorithm - if exceeded then first will try to cud by whole sentences looking for dot, then by spaces and at the end just cut).

Please check what are Google responses in the way which I already described to you on vBET forum. Then we will know more, and hopefully we will solve this fast
