Insert Image button non consistent behavior

Hi, when entering a thread and making a new reply or using the quick reply, the icon to insert an image opens the proper window to upload an image or select a URL, this is fine.

However if you click to edit a post, the insert image button now just opens a basic "pick a URL" box without the option of uploading a file at all, it's different behavior for the same button in the edit box.

The other thing is, once you've opened the edit post box, if you cancel the edit and instead go back to the quick reply at the bottom, the image button behavior on that edit box is now the simple URL chooser instead of the full upload box! In other words, the behavior of the quick reply image button changes just by clicking to edit a post and then canceling.

The question is, how do I make sure the upload image button has the same behavior for ALL editor boxes and that I don't get the simplified choose a URL box instead?

Thanks!

Any ideas?

The image upload is also the wrong behavior when replying to a PM. Even when going to advanced view in a PM you can't choose to upload an image, it still just shows the URL box.

I want ALL instances of the Image button to have the full image uploading functionality.

I can confirm what you wrote (I have to admit to never noticing that before). It seems like something that should be entered into the bug tracker to have the devs look at.
