There's a vB4 version of this mod available: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=231427
DownloadsII DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options. Because a lot of people keep on asking this: This mod works with any version of vBulletin 3.7.x and 3.8.x! It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself. ![]() Instructions & Support You can find an installation manual in the zip package (Readme-Install.txt). We try to answer most questions asked in this thread. Please don't send any pm's if we don't ask for them, as we said we try to give a high level of support in this thread. Don't forget to click the install link, so you will receive important update notifications. Screenshots & Live demo At the bottom of this post, you can find 6 screenshots of the front-end and back-end (AdminCP part) of the DownloadsII software. You can see the newest version in action at the Minatica.be Downloads (Dutch). Changelog (version 5.1.2) Jelle
Help!!! I can't upload large files?? This is probably the second most asked question. Have a look at this post for the solution. It doesn't work with GARS?! If you also use the latest version of GARS, you will get the "Fields marked in RED must be filled in!" error when uploading a file. I provided a fix here on the GARS forums. Addons We are offering 3 addons for this mod at the moment (have a look at the bottom of this post for them). DownloadsII contains 5 hook locations for the vBulletin plugin systems, so you can add extra functionality without file edits. Do you want to help expanding DownloadsII (if you are a coder)? Thanks, ive been looking forward to this. The upgrade went smoothly.
![]() Some requests or questions. If I no longer want people posting how do I close it? if that is not an option can it be a request then. Request: Before they are allowed to download for the first time only, they need to accept(tick) a box which has our disclaimer, tos, aup, or whatever we like to be included. and that then gets recorded against their name in their member profile. Also in the admincp, give us the option to then reset people who have accepted it, so they have to accept it again if we make any changes to the policy. This would be really good. Request: at the top of the page under a file category it has Download File Date Downloads Comments I would like to add Status to the end of that so it would be like: Download File Date Downloads Comments Status Now when a file gets added, the user who uploads it can add a status, eg. unknown (default), Undetected, Patched, etc. We could add our own as each forum would have different content and would want their own unique status. Request: for a search box to be added to the left of the page. I have added a pic to show you what I mean. Request: How to add advertisements to the left or right side of a page. Request: How to add a banner to the top of a page for that category only. (under the navbar) eg. Under the category of game demos, I would have a nice big banner on the top of the page saying Game Demos, this would make the page look like it is for the game demos. I know some of these requests may be good for lots of people or maybe some for me, however which ones may become default, and which ones not, because I would still like to know how to do them myself if they are not default. Thanks again.

BlackTiger, you may pm me an admin account, so I can check out the problem with the vBa CMPS page integration (it's something with the vBa URL rewrite -I think-), but I can't garantee you that I can fix it

@RS_Jelle: I used the vba addon but it won't give me my right side column.
But maybe indeed I've done something wrong there. I will create an admin account and pm it to you. Thanks.

DownloadsII PM moderation notification Add-On
I've uploaded a new add-on for DownloadsII: DownloadsII PM moderation notification Add-On As stated in the release thread, the add-on does this: when a user uploads a file via DownloadsII and that file is placed in moderation, all users that have the usergroup permission "Can Manage Moderation Queue" set to "Yes" will receive a PM notifying them about the file.
BUT ... the real reason I created it was to demonstrate how the new hooks that have been added to DownloadsII ver 5.0.4 can be used. The PM notification add-on uses the hooks dl_post_upload_add and dl_post_upload_edit. My hope is that other programmers will use these hooks to add other features to DownloadsII. (Hint - maybe for vbux integration!). By using the hooks, DownloadsII can be a modular program; different programmers can create modules that tie into the hooks that are available. If you are a programmer and you see where another hook would be handy, let me know. There are currently five hooks: dl_pre_upload, dl_post_upload_add, dl_post_upload_edit, dl_pre_download, dl_post_download.

Quck question, when I link to external files, is the source encoded (i.e. to avoid hotlinking by users finding out the exact location)?
Thanks No members have liked this post.
