What is this?

This template modification is an add-on (Can also be used solo, see below) for the [Sogteam]xFire Profile Module Hack*. It will display a small "miniprofile" in the postbit_legacy. Users who have forgotten or havent got xfire will have a "Get Xfire" image displayed instead linked to xfire.com. (See attached screenshot). Those who havent specifed their preferred style will have "shadow" used as default.

*This mod may be used without the above mod, but you will have to create two profile fields; one for the username entry, and two for the style options. More details can be found in the original mod.

What is xFire?

xFire has the following highlight features:

* Track & see when your friends / contacts are online & what game they're playing
* See what servers they're playing in, and join them with one simple click
* See what games your friends have
* Join clans with personal xfire pages
* Talk to your mates using a mic and one simple click

Installation

Very easy.

1) Login to the admin CP and add two new user profile fields.

1st new field's settings:


Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Note the field ID, which you will need to edit the template code.

2nd new field


Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

2)
Now upload the attached image to your /forum/images directory.

Find the following code in the "postbit_legacy" template for the styles concerned:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Now copy the following code into the template below the above.

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Note you need to edit xx to the field id of your username entry, and 00 to the field id of your style entry.

"sh" highlighted in red in the above code may be changed dependant on your default preferred xfire style.

Please note that the code above may be positioned virtually anywhere in the template within certain limits. The above method will result in the xfire miniprofile being displayed under the avatar. Experiment as you wish.

It is primarily designed for vertical as in the screenprint attached. However it doesnt require much editing at all or changes to install in order to get it to display in horizontal postbits.

Being as you are marked as a designer, im sure you can figure it out

installed ok

the .png file for the "Get xfire" refused to show so i just removed it

Thanks - I left a message in your other mod for XFIRE because it wont work

check you put the image in the right directory. Also ensure you didnt modify the name of the .png when downloading.

Ive responded to the other question in the other mod

Installed Perfectly! I made a minor change though so clicking on a users XFIRE status it will redirect to their XFIRE profile page instead of adding them to your friends list, I'll post the change, If the author doesn't mind (Send me a PM if you want me to remove it). This is a very easy change to make.

So it goes to their profile page instead of adding to friends.

REPLACE: (In postbit legacy, after installing original)

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.


WITH THIS:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.
