Very simple mod. Adds a note on top of the Private Message form.
If a registered or unregistered user tries to send a private message, it will add a note on top of the form with links to "FAQ" and "contact us". This helps prevent users to contact the administrator or moderators for simple questions. Installation: + Install product via Product Manager. Edit: + Edit note, links and usergroups in the "pm_stopm" template Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Private Message Templates > pm_stopmSettings: + Select which usergroup can see the message:

Thanks! 3.6.8 (changed minversion="3.8." and installed)
Also you can edit the template how you wish all, simply change the code but some html i.e. <br> does not work so use alternates! Sample of my Template pm_stopm after deleting/re-doing:
But you can leave the <b></b> for bold if you like etc. Simple yet nice, Thanks again!

Not compatible w/ 3.8 beta 2.
If you could make it compatible, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for listening. No members have liked this post.

Better to post it in "vBulletin 3.8 Add-ons" forum, and no "vBulletin 3.8 Template Modifications".

We are working on a seperate support site, I take it you are able to change the links url to whatever you want?
Edit: also can you add usergroups to use the hack? Edit (again lol): I see that you can,I added admin usergroup to test
but its not showing on the pm section ![]()

How about showing this only if the PM is being sent to a staff member?

How weird!!!
I get this error when finish editing the template and saving it vBulletin Message The following error occurred when attempting to evaluate this template: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_LNUMBER, expecting ')' in /home/dish911/public_html/includes/adminfunctions_template.php(3929) : eval()'d code on line 4 This is likely caused by a malformed conditional statement. It is highly recommended that you fix this error before continuing, but you may continue as-is if you wish. No members have liked this post.
