For dev tools, Firebug > IE11 = Chrome > default firefox debug for me anyway.
Chrome is a nice browser, and the only thing that bugs me is we're starting to see what happened with IE6. People are going out of their way to do chrome things for chrome, instead of web standards.

You login to save your bookmarks, apps, settings, history, passwords, etc in the cloud. This allows you to jump right in where you left off when using another computer or mobile (work vs home).
You can always disconnect your Google Account via Settings. I personally prefer Chrome but do use the dev tools on both Chrome and Firefox.

The only thing I use google chrome for is to use mightytext so I can text on my phone through the browser. There may be a plugin for firefox but it's what I setup on chrome so I've continued to use it.

I use Hangouts for that, as well. Though, they have one now that's a desktop version. Requires using Google Voice, as well.

I used to love Firefox until I started to have some problems and noticed that Chrome starts a lot faster. I know that's partly because of the extensions in Firefox but I use the same extensions in Chrome and it has no issues starting at all. I rather use the dev tools of Chrome than something such as Firebug in Firefox, it works much smoother.

Thinking of going back to firefox or try Opera (though I think Google owns that too now)

Well, I think technically they both are webkit based, now. So, Chrome and Opera are not all that dissimilar, in that respect.

Last time I checked. I have most of the major browsers for dev purposes, but unless I'm just finishing up a project, I hardly ever open them.
