Question Videos store discussion

Hello to the community! Although vb4 is considered obsolete, there are many installations around the world and some developer companies like Dragonbyte (many thanks for their great products) that are still supporting it.

A very major problem all these years were the lost pictures from temporary or external sources. In our automotive forum many great threads were destroyed from imageshack closure and not only. Hopefully we now have an excellent caching system and this issue fixed https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=253309

However, a new challenge arise and this has to do with videos which mostly hosted on youtube.
Many excellent DIY material lost and therefore (Since we have some TB available and unlumited bandwidth) we are looking for a similar mechanism that will store videos as well on our server.

Is there any solution/plugin that may assist or a developer that may wish to undertook this project?

Thumbs up

The scenario we are trying to cover is the following:
A user writes a post which also includes a video link e.g from youtube. Then after a couple of minutes, the plugin automatically detects this video link and download and store it in our space. Finally, it replaces the link in the post accordingly.
Exactly the same as happened right now with the pictures store plugin
