You set your thread options in the mod settings, and then schedule the included scheduled task to suit your needs. Simple mod should work on both VB 3.x and 4.x. ------------------------------------------------------ Please "Mark as Installed" if you use this. ![]() Donations always appreciated. ![]() Nominate MOTM if you LOVE it! ![]() Download Now Only licensed members can download files, Click Here for more information. Thanks, Joe.
A y/n option to suffix the title with the date would be greatly appreciated (from my perspective), and I think prove to be a valuable feature for this mod. For now, I'll keep this mod tagged... if I was to use it, I'd have to edit the newly posted thread title to include the date, so may as well just start the new thread myself. Our site runs a "Weekend Update" thread for members to post brief notes about progress on their various projects... it helps keep a community feel to our site. If someone comments on a post to an previous weeks thread, it would not be immediately obvious which is the current weeks thread if a date suffix in the title is not present. Thanks for your efforts... this is a great little mod, and I'm surprised that it is not used by more.

Decided to make that {DATE} fix today... New version released 1.2- now you can use {DATE} in the title or body of the post. It will use the forum date format by default or you can specify a custom date format in the mod settings.

Simple and yet a great one..
Thanks for sharing I know you want it to be so simple, but if you ever wanna expand on it, here's something you might wanna consider adding. An option to create a new thread or update an existing thread (adding post).. Just a thought Thanks again The following members like this post: BirdOPrey5

This is a great initiative.
But i think the scope/usefulness of this mod is restricted due to ablity to post the same conted over n over It would be really helpful for me and many other member if we can have the ability to add/schedule new threads in que. ( having the ability to control the title, content , forum, user, and timing on individual thread basis) Like i have an education related community. just wanted to schedule some threads that need to be posted in the coming week ( as i would have to login the forum for the next 10 days and starts a new thread exactly at 2:00pm ( the time when the examination ends) Would really love the ability to add these 10 post in que n they are added over the next week. ( this could be super handy for new communities also IMO, adding new content regularly ) I am even willing to pay upto $25 for it.

I understand that would be a more useful mod to you, but it is unrelated this this mod. This was never meant to be more than a simple auto poster, it met the needs to the guy who wanted it, and I released it here in case the community could make use of it.
You would have better luck posting in the "Requests for Paid Services" forum if you are trying to solicit someone to make the mod you want.

I really have a need for this mod.
I want to post a few daily posts for the mods to show a few custom scripts i have made. I want to be able to post html or php though BOP? Either using an iframe or include to call the file i want? I know your not keen on working on this mod.... but just have to ask. I have asked for assistance creating this mod but no takers ![]()

This mod sounds like it could be useful for me, thanks for sharing it!
The members on our forum typically come together to chat in a single thread for the day/week or month - using the same type of format for each thread. 'Forum Name - Date'. We often times have two or more members start the 'daily' thread and end up with duplicates. I think something like this to automatically create the threads for them would be awesome! I'll play around with it for a while and post back here sometime.. No members have liked this post.

No. This was just a simple poster in a single forum. But it is re-useable code so feel free to use it as a start to something bigger.
