News Announcement under Navbar Forumhome

Im trying to add a news table underneath my navbar. So I can post announcements and direct people to different parts of the site.

The built in announcement and notices are all very good.. but i need something else.

The only hack i can find is this one

I'm specifically trying to display a message once per session, independent of the notices box. I have no problem with the announcement itself, but any idea what the session conditional is? I think given those two things it'd be a snap.

Tnx!

Here's one I tried but have it currently disabled but it does work and you have the choice within the vboptions on where you prefer to place it. Better Announcements Mod.
