Info:
This hack automatically creates a birthday thread in the forum you select. Only members that allow their date of birth to be displayed will be listed, and age will be shown only for those who has chosen that. Members are shown in colors defined in usergroup settings. You can choose to exclude inactive members. Several users can be set as greeters (used randomly when posting). Thread will be created first time when someone loads forumhome after midnight.


Notes:
-This executes 1 very simple query on forumhome/in target forum.
-mktime() error? Check out this post.


Installation:
-Import XML file (as product) through AdminCP: Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]


To set options:
Go to: vBulletin Options > VSa - Auto Birthday Greeter

This is happening to me also. Birthday greetings for the day are posted 19 hours late at 7:00PM.

How can we set the cron to post this shortly after mid-night instead of posting at 5,6,7,8,9,10pm at night when it is the end of the day?

Same thing with me. My time zone is GMT, but it didn't post the thread until 1845hrs!

It also included a couple of people whose birthday is on the following day, but are on the opposite side of the world.

It's such a shame, as it could be such a good modification if it worked well.

Hi valter, can you please check why the mod is spamming the forum ? i mean yesterday the mod created 12 threads for 2 members i have in my forum. First it created double threads for every member, but then when i deleted the double threads , the mod created another 2. It kept doing it until the mode created 12 threads . I'm not sure if this has something to do with the last 2 updates on the 4.0.2 Pl 4

uninstalled until valter get time to look into it. today i deleted 22 threads bd greeter for one member only.

on my forum, yesterday at 2:05 GMT - 5, I found a thread congratulating a guy whos birthday was on November 30 :S, and it say that his birthday was on %03-%b-%2010:

Had to disable it on my forum also. It was posting multiple threads at different times on the wrong day!

I installed it on April 1st and it went bloody nuts. Threads were EVERYWHERE!

Everyone assumed it was an April Fools joke and that's what I'm letting them think. Unfortunately I have since disabled this hack.
