Finally got this to work on my forum using a custom template.
Tested on Version 3.8.2 P2 In addition to the Reason... I also added the person who closed the thread along with the date. Works very well on my forum Check my screenshot below!! If anyone needs help. Let me know. Thanks!! No members have liked this post.

I like this hack, however, would it be possible for it to replace the last post info of the thread with:
Thread Closed by Gaara (example) Thread Bumping Maybe a derivative version should be made of this hack, I like it. But it has too many bugs and template edits in it.
