vbulletin.org forum & vbulletin.com forum - why
Why two forums?
The other one won't let me log in; should I care, since I can log in here? Which one is most significant? I've yet to have anything regarding my $200 purchase of Vbulletin make sense. I'm glad it works for you all. No members have liked this post.

You will want to create an account over on vbulletin.com if you want to get help for the default functions of the software. vb.com is for help with your software and does not support modifications. vbulletin.org is the modification site and is for help modifying your code/templates.

2. I can get as far as the confirmation of the email but it continues to say I'm unlicensed. Very frustrating, and I don't expect an answer to that. 3. Where would you go to have (pay) someone to make a simple style that looks like another style in use? 4. Can a style be duplicated (say if it's simple and the name and logo for me would be different) without violating anything? No members have liked this post.

You seem like a smart person who can afford a license. In all honesty, why don't you try out everything and creating an account there at vbulletin.com then after you've found out for yourself come ask for help...
Try for yourself first and then ask. Did you pay for support? use it on vBulletin.com support system. ![]() Thanks

impossible to get going.
Thanks to both of you for responding. You've explained this site vs the other site with the same name, and that this is not the place to get help getting something off the ground. Ok.
I bought the software and a local here installed it such that I can get to my CP. I had hoped that there would be a default template and I could be off to the races... ...or, pay someone to put a basic style sheet up for me. On the other forum (.com) I can't get through the registration without it saying I'm not licensed and can't participate on that forum. Maybe the lesson here is to start and learn on the free ones...then jump to Vbulletin. My forum url is fundamentalforum dot net. To this point, it's a total waste of money and time but I'm hopeful that there are better days ahead for it. Thanks again. No members have liked this post.

You are showing up as licensed on both here and vb.com using this username.
