(Closed - Pls ignore) A modification is breaking my forum blocks
SOLVED. Operator error. Please ignore
Hi, In VB 4.2.4, my forum blocks don't appear to guests/unregistered members. I've narrowed the problem down to an add-on using //define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); in the config file because the forum blocks appeared to unregistered users when I did that. Once I re-enabled the hooks, I then disabled every single add-on manually refreshing every time until they were all disabled. The forum blocks still didn't appear. As a precaution, I uninstalled a couple of products I wasn't using. Nothing. The forum blocks still don't appear. I'm stumped. Any advice for next step troubleshooting? Thank you in advance No members have liked this post.

Do you have any active plugins not associated with a custom product, that is, they say "vBulletin" as their product?
They would be listed in the top section of the Plugin Manager.

This is simply too embarrassing. I went to hooks and what was the first thing I saw? A hook I obviously installed called "Hide sidebar from guests". I'm so embarrassed. The lesson has sunk in. Thank you so much Mark.

Don't feel bad...these kinds of things can happen to virtually anyone. Glad you figured it out.
