Calling all graphic artists...
How would I go about creating a t-shirt design like the following:
http://www.tshirtsunlimited.com/imag...o/thumb027.jpg Surely they aren't drawn freehand?! No members have liked this post.

BTW, if you can point me to a program, I can play with it and figure it out.

I am guessing they drew it, scanned it, and coloured, and modified it in a prog like Illustrator or something.

This is a t-shirt design yes? It most likely started out as hand drawn, then traced and cleaned up in a program like illustrator. To print it on a T-shirt all the colors had to be seperated (because screenprinting prints one color at a time). For the web graphic it was most likely colored (like Keptic said).

No people DO have the skills to do things like this on a computer. You should see a friend of mine. He does the most fantastic work for t-shirt designs etc. If you want i could put him in touch with you...
But they definately used a vector art program. Try Adobe Illustrator and Flash MX (i prefer flash MX cuz its easier to use ![]() Regards - miSt

I would suggest using Illustrator, and working with it to establish using it regularly, instead of taking the easy way (flash mx) out. Illustrator is a powerful tool, learn it right, you can do loads of stuff, and I mean LOADS!

Flash is made for it too - they're both vector art programs but flash has the brilliant addition of animation features

For Tshirts, everyone will take an Illustrator file (AI, EPS).. no one wants a Flash animation!
