imgur like keyboard functionality - arrow keys = previous / next thread
![]() Developer Last Online: Aug 2021 ![]() ![]() ![]()
I'm not sure if something like this has been released already, but here it is:
This little modification will make it possible to use the arrow left and right key on your keyboard to go to the next or previous thread in the current forum. Note that it will only work when you are viewing a thread already. Installation: 1) Open the SHOWTHREAD template of your style. 2) Paste the contents of the attached file above the {vb:raw footer} variable. That's it, now you can use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to go to the next/previous thread of the current forum. Mark as installed = support. The administrator will have to announce this although this is more of a "hidden" feature.

Sounds like a neat trick. Would it be possible to do this on the current thread's pages instead?

hey Dave - sorry to dust this one off but when I add this in, the following is added to the URL and it stays on the current thread
add to this, if I hit the keyboard multiple times, it just adds another oldest or newest code to the URL
tried this on Chrome and Firefox. If the code is depreciated, let me know No members have liked this post.
