Custom Per-Forum No Permission Messages
![]() Developer Last Online: Dec 2019 ![]() ![]() ![]()
This is a relatively simple mod/hack that will allow you to set your own 'No Permission' message for each forum, via the forum manager.
Just upload the bitfield xml file and the product xml file and then enable the mod in the vBulletin settings. You can then precede to enable this on the forums you would like it enabled on. Live demo: http://www.vbliam.com/forums/17-General-Support (I just enabled it for guests). Files to Upload: 2 (1 product xml file, 1 bitfield xml file) Plugins: 5 Compatibility I made and tested this mod on vBulletin version 4.2.0. I do not have access to older version to test. I started making mods with vBulletin 4.2.0. I may have used functions not available in older versions. This is however, unlikely. Please 'Mark as Installed' and nominate! Changelog: Version 1.0.1 Removed don't show to guests feature - it broke the mod. Version 1.0 Inital Release Download Now Only licensed members can download files, Click Here for more information. Hmm. I don't actually have a vB3 install, so no.
I'll install a test vB3 setup, and see what I can do. No members have liked this post.

Hi there, nice mod idea, I like this, but I think it has not yet it in oneself to get nominated for motm as it is a rather tiny mod. Nevertheless it's ok for a first release and it has got a great potential in my opinion.
Maybe you can extend this idea, e.g. different messages for each denied usergroup or something like that ![]() No members have liked this post.

This plugin either works completely (even to guests) (and even when the forum error page is set to no) or not at all by disabling it. It's not working properly on vB4 I'm afraid.

This is not working. It shows up in the options for all the plugins, but theirs no where to edit the settings or message, only lets me turn it on. I've looked everywhere in the admincp

Did you look in each of your forums, in Forum Manager?
