Adding A Login Box To Your Header - Edit The Navbar

CLICK INSTALLED TO GET SUPPORT FOR THIS ADD-ON. IF YOU DO NOT CLICK INSTALLED I CANNOT HELP YOU. To make this edit I will use the vb default skin so not to confuse anyone on extra custom code. If you are modifying your custom style, I've given you some basics to do so and place the login box where you want it. Basically this is to place the login box in your header and then clean up your navbar. NOTE: This is assuming that you either are using the default style or you have your own custom header graphics that you will be using. If you are using your own header graphic then you will need to have a good knowledge of how to splice your graphic and then place it into the header template. This template mod does not code your header for, but it shows you what code to take out of the navbar templates and move to your header template. It will be up to you as to where you place the code. 1. Login to your AdminCP 2. Scroll down to Styles & Templates>Style Manager 3. Now click the Style Manager link 4. You will see the styles now on your right. Find the style that you want to edit and click the drop down and choose "Edit Templates". 5. Now click the <<>> button to expand your templates. 6. Scroll down and find the navbar template. 7. FIND:
AND DELETE IT. 8. Save navbar Template. 9. Find header template and open it. 10. FIND:
AND CHANGE TO:
11. FIND:
REPLACE WITH:
12. Save your header template and view your forum. Download Now Only licensed members can download files, Click Here for more information. Screenshots Show Your Support

Answered already via MSN. But for others who might be wondering what the answer is to this particular problem you will need to splice your header using a graphics program like adobe photoshop, gimp, image ready etc and then recode the top bit of the header and place some css to reflect that placing this login code on that side. Depending upon whether or not your forum is a fixed width, you may have to take4 out the banner ad code because it would make your header stretch too far. No members have liked this post.
