how to edit the main CSS

so I'm trying to make an original style but how do i edit the main css? it says its for reference purposes only. also i get this error at the top of the main css page. not sure why tho cuz it was uploaded right from the vb files and ive never messed with it

In vB4 you use the StyleVars to edit the style, not the Main CSS page.
