3.8.11 and PHP 8.x
Has anyone tried getting vb 3.8.11 to work with PHP 8.x+?
I have gotten it to work very well with 7.4 with some minor edits here and there, but 8.0 has been a problem. I'm having trouble finding the source of the problem through the PHP errors. It has something to do with MYSQLi, but havent gotten any further then that. Anyone else taken a stab at it or could give some pointers? No members have liked this post.

This is the only person I know who has taken 3.8.x as far as PHP 7.4.x Not sure if his work is any closer to PHP 8.

Just an update, I got it about 50% working.
It needs a few template and core file updates which weren't too bad. Making new posts/threads and some admincp functions are still non functional, but I will keep working on it. Seems like it is possible and the changes aren't too bad. |
