I've noticed when you merge two posts together, one of them is hard deleted.
If a moderator wanted to, they could hard delete posts by using the merge post feature. I want my moderators to be able to merge posts, but I don't want them to be able to hard delete posts. Hence I need somebody to make something like this: The 'second post' which is merging with a former post (or vice versa), that post isn't hard deleted/ those posts aren't hard deleted. Instead it is/they are only soft deleted. Currently the only workaround is if a moderator copies the original post(s) first & deletes the copied post. Then they'd merge the original post(s) with whatever post they want to merge it with. Preferably the option should be added here: AdminCP -> Forums & Moderators -> Show All Moderators -> [username] (Edit/Edit Permissions) Merging posts will soft deleted instead of hard delete. [Yes or No] P.S= Another suggestion would be to split up the 'Manage Thread' options. So a Yes or No whether a moderator can merge/copy/moderate other posts. As I don't want all my moderators to be able to merge & copy. I want some to just be able to moderate. No members have liked this post.
