The way I got mine to work with vBadvanced was to put one favicon.ico in my main website root directory and another in the forum root directory then add code to header.
Also if you change your favicon with a new image you can clear your browser cache so that it will display the new favicon. No members have liked this post.

I added this to my forum today. It works sometimes. I have cleared the cache but the icon only appears in the URL window after I click Reload. I am using Safari 3.1.1.
Could it be that I have entered the code on the wrong place? No members have liked this post.

Hi.
Iv added this great code <LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="/forum/images/vbulletin.ico" type="image/x-icon"> <LINK REL="SHORTCUT" HREF="/forum/images/vbulletin.ico" type="image/x-icon"> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.theexpat.me/VB/vbulletin.ico" /> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="vbulletin.ico" /> to the top of header and incheader and uploaded the image ... In the forum page it shows my icon but in IE it doent show up so once people are in the forum its lost. Can any one help please.. pleaseeeeeeeee No members have liked this post.
