vB 4 Search Feature
Can someone remind me...is the search feature with vB 4 (4.2.5) member only?
In other words...does the search feature only work for registered members...and does not work for guest visitors? I did a quick search in the Admin Control Panel area...and couldn't find a setting for this (of course I may have missed it). Thanks No members have liked this post.

It can work for visitors too. If you edit a usergroup there is a section called "Forum Searching Permission". Of course the search engine inherits the forum permissions you have set for the "Unregistered / Not Logged In" usergroup on each forum.
