I'm fixing to upgrade four systems to 7 and have used 7 (beta tested, then RC for a while) via VMWare on a Vista install for a few months. You can get it here for $50 each in a pack if you want to go that route.

Windows 7 is so far Microsoft's best product and I am already a proud owner Excellent for music production as it handles driver installations smoothly even for older versions.

Upgraded tonight. No problems of note so far I've got rid of this stupid taskbar and put quick launch back too.

I haven't checked but does the quick launch also have all the same Aero mouseover function? I just changed the icon size on my default Windows 7 taskbar to small. IMO the new task bar is by far the coolest new feature.

Yes it does.

I gave the new style taskbar a couple of days but didn't like it.
I've also enabled the quick launch. I find the quick launch easier to work with.

I agree. I thought about going back to using the Quick Launch toolbar back when I first installed in January but decided to give the new taskbar a week. I won't go back to Quick Launch now.

Should receive my 3 copies of Win 7 after the 30th, according to the last email I received. I can hardly wait!
However I am not looking forward to upgrading from vista to 7. I've never upgraded an OS before.
