Ban User From A Thread
Break Up Those Fights


Summary:

Allows Administrators/Supermods to ban a user from a particular thread.
Most useful if you have a flame started and you dont want to lock the entire thread or ban the user entirely; just keep them out of the thread.


Features:

1. Allow Banning of users from a particular thread.
2. Can only ban if person has SuperModerator or Higher Permissions.
3. Cannot ban Mods/Supermods/Admins.
4. Can clear all bans in a particular thread, or bans from All threads.
5. Can ban/unban user from a single menu when clicking their name.
6. Page to display Forum Wide Thread Bans.


Instructions:

1. Download Zip File
2. Read README.txt
3. Click Install if you like

To upgrade: uninstall product, reinstall product and redo steps #2 and #3.

1. Fixed uncached template on view all bans.
2. Included README.txt in the txt file.

1. Changes to the checking of Moderator Permissions optimized.
2. Fixed a bug with not removing an empty array containing a thread.
3. Added a View All Thread Bans page to view bans in a tree like menu.

1. Cannot Ban Moderators/Supermoderators/Administrators

Hey Dusty,

is there anyway I can make this available for normal mods?

I think it would be a good idea for normal mods cos they do most of the work

I just dont want to have all my mods changed to supermods to be able to use this great hack

i installed this plugin but i can't find where to set admin and super moderator permissions in admincp. in admincp every permissions pages do not include settings of this hack. can you help me please?

Its already setup for Admins and Supermods

There are no options for it I dont think

Fantastic, using it on a forum I am admin on, can you possibly add a feature to change the message when you have banned a user, as I cannot find the code to edit to change this.

Hi,

If you go to "Search in Phrases" >> for You have been removed from

and find the one with > You have been removed from this discussion

It will be there and you can change it to whatever you want

only admins are allowed to view my archive....and i password protected it just to be sure lol would that work for you?

then to top it all off i added the HIDE ressurection to the forum...gave out admin and registered user id's...told everyone that it was open to the public now to use the hidden block id's....so maybe you could try that...put him in a different usergroup...just a thought...

or just change the permissions on the user in the usermasks i think it is...
