Putting an Ad between Threads?

HI, I had this a couple of years back, but I can't remember in what template I had to put the code.

I want to have a Billboard ad after the 3rd or 4th post shown, but I don't find where to put it exactly. The integrated ads system does not allow this position, so I have to put it manually, would be great If you could help.
