vBDonate: What is it?
vBDonate is a professional donation mod, allowing administrators accept donations/contributions via PayPal to their sites from the members. It works on vB versions 4.1.x and 4.2.x

vBDonate is perfect for any forum, both small and big alike. vBDonate is the ideal product to allow administrators accept donations/contributions via PayPal to their sites from the members. This functions similar to other popular donation mods found on vB.org

Major Features

Auto Confirming (PRO Only): Donations will auto confirm from PayPal once the donation has actually been processed through PayPal's system Pro Only.

PayPal Testing Environment: Ability to set the donation system to a testing environment via PayPal's SandBox mode.

Marquee Block: A fully customizable marquee block can be placed just about anywhere on your site.

Payment Options: Administrators can set donation amounts to Custom, Suggested, or Suggested and Custom.

Contribution Options: Users can donate anonymously and/or have their donation amounts undisclosed, if set in the ACP.

Interactive Donation List Page: Administrators can confirm, unconfirm, and edit donations from the contribution list page

Donation Goal Bar: A donation goal bar can be placed just about anywhere on your site.

Donator Page: Donators will be able to view a "My Contributions" page which will list only their donations.

Donation Listings Pages: vBDonate admins can view unconfirmed, anonymous and undisclosed donations on separate pages.

Awards System (PRO Only): The Pro version comes with a awards system, to show a award in the postbit of users that donated.

Import Donations (PRO Only): The Pro version comes with a importer to import donations from VSA or AWC donation mods.

    • Show the donate postbit info on different usergroups postbit, so you can select it to only show on Admin postbit, or any usergroups you have.
    • Show the donate postbit info on one specific user.
    • Enable or disable awards from showing in the postbit of users who contributed.
    • Set the image to display in the users postbit if they contributed.
    • Turn off automatic deployment of the award in the postbit, so you can add it anywhere via a template edit.

    • Send a pm to staff, if a contribution has been auto confirmed.

The prompts all look the same as usual, but after confirming the contribution it remains unconfirmed. If I change the user back to a regular user before confirming the system will allow me to confirm the donation but it still leave the user in the regular usergroup.

I upgraded to PRO and everything is working correctly, I don't know why but sometimes it's best to not ask questions. Thanks for your help and the great mod!

For some reasons, whenever any user tries to donate more than $5.00 USD, the payment defaults into $5.00.

He tried donating $40.00 but only $5.00 was sent.

Seems like the problem is that the payment defaults to the lowest suggest amounted.

Hi folks

I would like to remove the Contribute tab, i set it to know in the settings yet it still shows
Can i hard edit a template, if so which template please as i cannot for the life of me find
where its hiding :/

A guest cannot view the forum. He will be redirected to login screen.
Is it possible to make the donation bar visible for guests in the login screen?
So that a guest can donate to register ?

We have custom style and donator list looks messed up. We're also using custom (renamed) admincp folder so everytime we click on the edit link we're receiving error 404

There is a setting in general settings for the mod to enter the name of the acp folder.

Screen shot of messed up might help, or perhaps a link.

Does anyone know if this mod allows people to transfer money VIA Paypal instead of simply pay for goods (as in I'm looking for true donations, not payments that trigger the Paypal fees)?
